We honor the legacy and invaluable scientific contribution of Professor Shigueo Watanabe, of the University of São Paulo — USP, whose academic career stands as one of the most significant contributions to the development of experimental physics, radiation dosimetry, and materials research in Brazil and Latin America.

We honor the legacy and invaluable scientific contribution of Professor Linda Viola Ehlin Caldas, of the Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares — IPEN, São Paulo, recognized as a leading reference in ionizing radiation metrology, dosimetry, and radiological protection in Brazil and Latin America.

Throughout her scientific career, Professor Caldas devoted her research to developing and refining measurement, calibration, and quality control methods for ionizing radiation. Her work spanned areas such as radiation dosimetry, applied metrology, ionization chambers, dosimetric systems, radiological protection, and medical and industrial applications of radiation. Her contribution was fundamental to strengthening measurement reliability, radiological safety, and the quality of processes associated with the use of ionizing radiation.

At IPEN, her work as a researcher, teacher, and advisor left a deep mark on the training of highly qualified professionals. We honor the legacy and invaluable scientific contribution of Professor Helen Jamil Khoury, of the Federal University of Pernambuco — UFPE, recognized as one of the great references of Brazil and Latin America in dosimetry, radiological protection, medical physics, and applications of ionizing radiation.

Throughout her distinguished academic and scientific career, Professor Khoury devoted her work to research in radiation dosimetry, nuclear instrumentation, ionizing radiation metrology, detectors, luminescence dosimetry, radiological protection, and quality control in medical procedures that use radiation. Her contributions helped strengthen radiological safety, dose optimization for patients and professionals, and the advancement of experimental methodologies applied to medicine, nuclear research, and radiological protection.

At the Federal University of Pernambuco, she played a fundamental role in consolidating scientific research and training highly qualified human resources. Her vocation as a teacher, her dedication to academic advising, and her commitment to excellence deeply marked generations of students, researchers, and professionals in the nuclear field and medical physics.
